Safe learning for students
What Studify does and does not do, in plain words, for parents and students.
How answers are marked
- Where an answer is exact (a number, a word, a letter), a fixed rule marks it. No AI is involved, so the mark is the same every time.
- Where judgement is needed (a sentence, working, a photo of handwriting), an AI model helps read and mark it, following the exam board's mark scheme. These marks are shown as AI-marked.
- Every question says where it comes from: an exam board paper, written by Studify, or made by AI and checked by computer rules and a second AI model.
Your child's data
- Photos and voice recordings you add, and the text read from them, are kept and used only to check and improve how accurately the AI models read and mark answers. They are never shown to other students, tutors or parents, and only a small number of authorised Studify staff can reach them. A student can delete them at any time in “My data”, and discarding one deletes it straight away.
- Studify does not store card numbers.
What you can see as a parent
- You cannot read what your child writes to FyAI. We show only counts, so a child keeps some privacy and you still hear when something needs attention.
What teachers can see
- A teacher can see a student's exam practice progress only after the student accepts the invitation to the teacher's class. The student can leave the class at any time, and the teacher then stops seeing it.
